Picnic in the Park
This years Picnic in the Park, hosted by NECRC, will take place Saturday August 22, 2015 12-5PM at Indian & Metis Friendship Centre (45 Robinson Street).  The event includes free food, children’s activities, cultural entertainment, prizes, artist and craft sales and organization information booths.

Manitoba Filipino Street Festival
This years street festival will kick off with a parade beginning at 9AM with a parade. All festivities will take place at Garden City Shopping Centre in the Sears Parking Lot. There will be performances by Jericho Rosales, Maria Aragon, and Tiffancy Ponce, to name a few; food vendors and community association tents will also be there.

Sinclair Park News
Sinclair Park CC asks that patrons using the gym during the “free gym/open gym” times use it for that purpose and nothing else. There have been instances where organizations/people are hosting classes and charging a fee. Individuals that continue to break this rule will be asked to leave or they will be asked to purchase a permit.

Fall/Winter Sports Registration will take place on the following days:

  • Sat August 29, 1-3PM
  • Tue September 3, 6-8PM
  • Thu September 10, 6-8PM

Sinclair Park  will have  fall/winter registration for Soccer, Basketball, Hockey and Dance.

Ralph Brown Community Centre

Winnipeg Food Share Co-Op / Good Food Box: Ralph Brown Community Centre is pleased to partner with The Winnipeg Food Share Co-Op to be a North End Depot for their Good Food Box program. Every second Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00am volunteers pack fresh locally grown vegetables into bags that are then delivered to other North End drop off sites. For more information or to order a box please contact the  centre.

Food Matters Manitoba (Our Food, Our Health and our Culture): Every Friday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:00pm Ralph Brown hosts a youth cooking class. Every week is filled with dishes from around the world and once a month we are
joined by a volunteer instructor. Classes are free and open to everyone aged 8 to 17.

Youth Drop-In: Children and youth aged 6 to 17 are welcome to come by the Centre during drop-in hours for an ever changing slate of activities. Crafting, board games, sports, outdoor activities, water, cooking, art, music, you name it! All programming is free and no registration is required.

Graffiti Art Programming: Join us and our community partners from the Graffiti Gallery to do exciting art programming Tuesdays and Thursdays! Tuesdays are from 6:30 until 8:00 and Thursdays are from 4:00 – 6:00pm.
